DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Trident 660 prepared for club racing or regular timed sessions needs a front pad that is designed for repeated hard stops. Accossato makes AGPA72 in its EV2 compound for exactly that and describes it as a top racing compound. The pad is listed for the Triumph Trident 660 from 2021 to 2025. It is a specialist choice: on a road bike used day to day, other compounds in the same range suit better.

Key Features

  • AGPA72 front pad, Accossato EV2 racing compound
  • Listed for the Triumph Trident 660, 2021-2025
  • Accossato calls it a top racing compound
  • For qualifying, race weekends and timed sessions
  • Designed for late, heavy stops at the end of a straight
  • Two pads per box for one front caliper
  • Also offered in OR, ST and EV1

Construction and Material Quality

EV2 is the racing end of Accossato's AGPA72 range. It is made for brakes that are worked hard and often, which is what happens on a circuit. The firm's usual promises apply: slow wear, a design that limits heat and fade, and powerful deceleration. The way it responds on your Trident will depend on discs, fluid and lever setup, so take time in the first session to learn it.

Race Weekend Preparation

A race weekend is a sequence of sessions, and the front brake has to deliver the same bite in the last qualifying lap as in the first practice. EV2 is intended for that repetition. Between sessions, take a quick look at pad material, check that the discs are clean and dry, and watch the fluid colour; racing heat takes its toll. On public roads a pure racing compound is out of its element, especially when cold, which is why we recommend EV1 for Trident riders who mix road and track. For a dedicated track bike, though, EV2 is the pad made for the job.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA72 for the front of the Trident 660 between 2021 and 2025, and AGPP89 for the rear. With two front calipers on the Trident, you need two boxes. Change both sides together, clean the pistons before retracting them and pump the lever until it is firm. Bed the pads in during the first laps with progressively stronger stops.

Road Approval

No ABE or other German approval documents exist for AGPA72EV2 on our side. It is sold for competition.

Scope of Delivery
