DescriptionThe whole story▼
Four hundred euros. That is the gap between this kit and the titanium-collector version, and the only thing that changes is the metal in the collector — the Grid-O silencers, the underseat routing and the 105 dB are identical.
Key Features
- Stainless steel collector with two titanium Grid-O silencers, underseat.
- 105 dB, the same figure Spark measures for the titanium-collector kit.
- Silencers and routing shared with GDU8839T — only the collector material differs.
- Works with the original number plate holder and with standard or closed racing fairings.
- Removable dB killer available for both silencers.
- Panigale V4, V4 S, V4 R and Streetfighter V4.
Where the Saving Comes From
The collector is the largest single piece of metal in the kit, so it is where the material choice shows up in the price. Stainless costs a fraction of titanium to buy and to weld, and on a section that sits under the seat — out of sight, protected from stone chips, never touched by a boot — the case for spending the difference is weaker than it is on a visible silencer.
What you give up is mass. Spark does not publish a figure for this version, so we will not invent one; the titanium kit is 3.3 kg against 6.4 kg standard, and a stainless collector will sit somewhere above that. If the exact number decides your purchase, ask us and we will request it from Spark.
Performance & Sound
Unchanged from the titanium kit. The silencers are the same Grid-O units, the gas path has the same diameters, and Spark quotes 105 dB for both. A collector material does not alter flow — it alters what the flow is contained by.
An ECU remap is recommended, as with every kit in this family.
Choosing Between the Four Kits
Spark builds four 3/4 kits for this bike and they are genuinely different products, not four price points. Two are underseat with twin silencers — this Grid-O version at 105 dB and the Dyno version at 102 dB, which drops below 100 dB with its optional dB killers. Two are lateral with a single silencer: the Force Evo at 104 dB and a Grid-O at 112 dB, which is the loudest thing Spark offers for the V4.
Work out your noise ceiling first, then decide whether you want the underseat look or a silencer on the flank, and only then look at the collector material. Getting that order right saves a lot of second-guessing — the decibel figure is the one constraint you cannot change after the fact.
Installation
Published by Spark:
- ECU mapping is recommended.
- Compatible with the original fairings and closed racing bodywork.
- Compatible with the original licence plate holder.
- Not compatible with passenger footboards.
- The under-saddle lock cannot be reached once fitted.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S, V4 R (2018-2024) and the Streetfighter V4. The titanium-collector equivalent is GDU8839T.
Road Approval
Not road legal. No certificate is issued, there is no catalyst, and the kit removes access to the under-saddle lock — none of which belongs on a registered motorcycle.
