DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born in the OZ SBK Racing division and shaped by a heritage of podium finishes, the Cattiva is the lightest wheel OZ manufactures — forged from premium magnesium and engineered exclusively for track use on the Ducati Panigale 959. The six-spoke design is not merely aesthetic; every gram and every curve serves a single purpose: extracting maximum performance from your 959.
Key Features
- Forged magnesium construction — the lightest wheel in the OZ range, drastically reducing unsprung and rotating mass for sharper turn-in and faster direction changes.
- Six-spoke Cattiva design developed by the OZ SBK Racing department, balancing structural rigidity with minimal weight for high-speed stability.
- Complete front and rear wheel set — one front wheel (C3102DU35X) and one rear wheel (C6184DU55X) supplied together.
- Supplied with premium bearings, aluminium angled valves and spacers (fitted where required), plus a rear sprocket carrier — note that the original rear sprocket is not compatible and must be replaced.
- Direct bolt-on fitment for the Ducati Panigale 959 (2016–2019), replacing the standard wheels without modification to the chassis.
- Made in Italy to OZ's exacting manufacturing standards for long-term reliability under racing loads.
Design and Heritage
The Cattiva name carries real racing pedigree. Conceived within OZ's Superbike racing department, the design brief was uncompromising: produce the lightest forged magnesium wheel possible without sacrificing the structural integrity demanded at race pace. The result is a wheel that has found its way onto competitive machinery at circuits across Europe, and now onto the Panigale 959 platform in a fitment engineered specifically for its geometry and braking architecture.
The finish options — gloss black, matte black and gold — each present the Cattiva's spoke geometry differently, but the underlying character remains the same: purposeful, Italian, and unmistakably OZ.
Performance on Track
Reducing rotating mass is one of the most impactful modifications you can make to a motorcycle. Lighter wheels spin up faster, load the tyres more progressively and allow the suspension to follow road or track surface irregularities with greater fidelity. On the Panigale 959, where the chassis already rewards precise rider inputs, fitting the Cattiva set sharpens every element of the dynamic package — from initial braking through apex to corner exit acceleration.
These wheels are optimised exclusively for track use. For riders who attend circuit days and demand the absolute best from their Panigale 959, the Cattiva set represents one of the most transformative upgrades available.
Fitment and Compatibility
This wheel set is designed and tested specifically for the following:
- Ducati Panigale 959 — model years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
The original rear sprocket is not compatible with the Cattiva carrier. A replacement sprocket suited to the OZ carrier must be fitted. All other hardware required for installation is included in the set.
