DescriptionThe whole story▼
Akrapovic publishes no weight, no power figure and no noise reading for this silencer. That is stated at the top rather than buried, because on a nine hundred euro part the absence of numbers is information in itself: there is nothing here to compare against the road-legal slip-on for the same motorcycles.
Key Features
- Developed for closed competition circuits, with no type approval
- Sandblasted and coated titanium outer sleeve
- Handmade carbon fibre end cap and a carbon fibre muffler clamp
- Fits Euro 5+ machines with two lambda sensors
- Remapping is mandatory for the exhaust to perform
- No published weight, power or noise data
What Akrapovic Does Not Say
For most systems in this catalogue the manufacturer supplies a dyno sheet: weight before and after, power and torque at named engine speeds, a static noise reading. For this part number there is none of that.
The likely reason is that a track exhaust with a mandatory remap has no single set of figures — the numbers depend on the map. That is a fair explanation and it is still an absence. Anyone who needs a weight saving quantified before buying should ask the distributor rather than assume one.
The Carbon Clamp
The end cap being carbon fibre is normal. The muffler clamp being carbon fibre is not — most systems use a steel or aluminium band, because a clamp has to hold a load. Akrapovic makes this one from carbon and finishes it by hand, and it is the detail that marks the part out at a glance in a paddock.
Two Lambda Sensors
The system is built for Euro 5+ machines whose standard exhaust carries two lambda sensors. That is not a preference, it is a fitment condition: an earlier RSV4 with a single sensor has a different exhaust layout and needs a different part.
Check which the bike has before ordering. The model year alone does not settle it, because Aprilia changed over mid-range.
The Remap Is Part of the Price
Akrapovic states that remapping is mandatory for optimum performance of this exhaust. On a V4 that already runs a sophisticated ride-by-wire system, that means a session with someone who knows the platform, not a generic flash.
Add it to the budget. A track silencer on a standard map is a loud way to go slower.
Three Machines, One Silencer
The RSV4 superbike, the Tuono V4 1100 and the Tuono V4 1100 Factory share the 1,077 cc V4 and the same exhaust exit. One part covers all three from 2021 to 2026.
Where It Sits Against the Others
Akrapovic also builds S-A10SO14-HEZT for these machines — a slip-on with EC and ECE type approval that needs no remapping — and the full Evolution Line S-A10E10-RT for track use. This silencer is the middle ground: track-only, but a slip-on rather than a complete system, and priced accordingly.
Road Approval
None. This product does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use. For closed course competition only.
