DescriptionThe whole story▼
The five minutes after a new lever is fitted are worth more than the ten it took to fit it. A clutch that engages somewhere unexpected is unpleasant on a trail and dangerous on a climb, and the place to find that out is a workshop floor with the engine off. On a 350EXC-F SIX DAYS the checks are short and always the same. Accossato lists the AGS14 for this machine from 2012 to 2023, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the KTM 350EXC-F SIX DAYS
- Accossato's entry runs from 2012 to 2023
- Silver
- Left-hand lever, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type, developed by Accossato to be affordable
- Accossato states that the way the levers are made improves resistance after damage
- One lever
- No German ABE, no test mark; racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
A replacement that keeps the original form makes the checking easy, because there is nothing new to understand. The AGS14 follows the shape of the clutch control the 350EXC-F SIX DAYS was built with, so it acts on the same components in the same way and the engagement point should end up exactly where it was before. Accossato groups the part with its original spare parts types, a range developed for value for money, and adds that the manufacturing method used leaves these levers more resistant after damage or a collision. The colour listed is silver, and no dimensions or materials are published.
The First Pull in the Garage
Start with the mechanical part. With the lever fitted and the pivot lightly greased, work the blade through its whole travel by hand and watch two things: that it moves without catching anywhere, and that it comes back on its own to rest against its stop. Then look at the small amount of free play the handbook asks for at rest, because a lever that already presses on the piston with the hand off it can keep the clutch slightly disengaged, which shows up later as a bike that creeps or a clutch that slips under load. Check that the blade clears the grip and any handguard through its full movement, and that nothing fouls at the top of the stroke. Next, with the engine off, pull the lever a dozen times and feel for a consistent action; on a hydraulic clutch the effort should be the same on every pull. Only then start the engine, hold the machine, and find the engagement point in first gear with the clutch pulled in, letting it out slowly to confirm that the bite arrives where it always did and that the bike does not try to move with the lever held. Finish with a short ride on flat ground before anything technical. The whole sequence takes less time than a cup of tea and it is the difference between a repair and a surprise.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS14 for the 350EXC-F SIX DAYS from 2012 to 2023 and lists the AGD316 on the brake side from 2014 to 2023, so both ends of the handlebar are covered and neither has a second original-type code to disentangle. The clutch entry is shared across many machines from this family and is listed with us for the Beta RR 390 4T, the Husqvarna FC 450 and the Husqvarna TC 250 among others. Accossato's CNC levers for this bike are the B8303 and the C7303.
Road Approval
Because Accossato provided no approval papers for the AGS14, we can show neither a German ABE nor a test mark, and the lever is sold as a part for racing and competition.
