DescriptionThe whole story▼
For many owners the Shiver 750 is a daily bike: to work in the morning, home in the evening, all year round. Aprilia built its naked V-twin from 2007 to 2017, and on a commuter the clutch lever is pulled at every set of lights and in every queue. A lever snapped in a car park tip-over means no ride home, and no ride to work the next day unless it is replaced quickly. Accossato's AGS16 is a silver clutch lever in original shape for the Shiver 750.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in original shape for the Aprilia Shiver 750, 2007 to 2017

- Silver
- Left side of the handlebar
- Accossato: more resistant after damage or a crash, thanks to its production process
- Designed for good value
- One lever
- No German ABE; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the AGS16 as an original spare parts type. Its shape follows the clutch lever the Shiver 750 was built with, so there is nothing new to get used to on the next morning's ride. The company designed this range for good value, and it states that the production process increases the lever's resistance after damage or a crash. The finish is silver. For a commuter that is enough: a part that returns the bike to the way it was, without turning a repair into a project.
A Commuter Without a Clutch Lever
If the clutch lever has broken, riding the Shiver 750 home is a bad idea. Without a proper lever the clutch cannot be disengaged fully, and stopping at lights, pulling away and changing down all become unpredictable in traffic. It is better to leave the bike safely parked and come back with the replacement. The swap itself can be done in the office car park with a few basic tools: remove the pivot bolt, fit the new lever on the cleaned and lightly greased bolt, and set the free play as the handbook prescribes. Check that the clutch switch still registers the lever, since it tells the electronics whether the clutch is pulled. Then ride a short loop round the car park before joining the traffic.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS16 for the Shiver 750 from 2007 to 2017, with the ABS model named separately for 2007 to 2016. The brake lever on the right is the AGD13, also silver. The same clutch lever is catalogued at Inter-Pace for the Shiver 750 GT and the Dorsoduro 750, and for riders who would rather have a CNC clutch lever, Accossato lists the ESC023 for the Shiver 750.
Road Approval
Because there is no ABE or other test document for the AGS16 in our records, it is offered for use in racing and competition.
