DescriptionThe whole story▼
Cyl. headMcPh 7.5/M47x1/85.7, Öhlins part number 05664-02. Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Thread M47x1
- Öhlins part number 05664-02
- Dimension B 85.7 mm
- Dimension A 1 mm
Function
05664-02 is the 1 mm, 85.7 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. An original Öhlins service part, listed under its own number in the Öhlins spare parts catalogue. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece.
Genuine Service Part
This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.
How to Be Sure It Fits
Order under 05664-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 85.7 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Availability of individual parts is one reason Öhlins units stay in service for decades. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
