Adjuster shaft 100.6/4.3, Öhlins part number 00566-41. Needle and seat together meter the bleed flow; damage to either changes the whole adjustment range.

- Öhlins part number 00566-41
- Dimension A 100.6 mm
Function
00566-41 is the 100.6 mm, 4.3 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. The adjuster shaft runs inside the damper shaft and carries the adjustment to the piston. Its length matches the shaft it runs in, which is why the numbers are paired.
Why the Original
Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.
Getting the Number Right
Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00566-41 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states dimension a 100.6 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
