Machined and welded from aerospace-grade titanium throughout, it slashes 6.4 kg from the standard exhaust weight while unlocking a verified 10.4 hp and 8.8 Nm of additional torque — numbers that translate directly into faster exits and a harder mid-range punch on track.

This header lives by that philosophy. The titanium alloy used resists heat-induced distortion at the extreme exhaust gas temperatures generated by the S1000RR's inline-four, maintaining consistent scavenging geometry across an entire race session. Weld quality is consistent with Akrapovic's motorsport production standard, with smooth internal bores that minimise turbulence at the collector — exactly where OEM headers typically surrender power.

Performance and Track Use

The gains recorded with this header are not theoretical. Akrapovic's own test figures show the S1000RR K67 producing 212.3 hp at 13,400 RPM and generating an additional 8.8 Nm at 8,450 RPM when this header replaces the factory unit. For track riders the combined effect is a broader, stronger power curve from mid-range through the rev ceiling. The 6.4 kg mass reduction is equally significant: removing weight from the exhaust plumbing lowers the centre of gravity and reduces rotational inertia, making the motorcycle noticeably more responsive to steering inputs. An optional catalyst is available separately for configurations that require it.

This header carries no road-use approval and is intended exclusively for closed-circuit competition use. Fitment to a road-registered vehicle is not permitted.
