DescriptionThe whole story▼
Turning a tall, heavy tourer in a narrow village street or a hotel car park is where many Versys 1000 riders really use the rear brake. Accossato lists the AGPP88 rear pad in the Organic mixture for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 from 2012 to 2024, including ABS versions and the LT of 2015 and 2016. It gives the pedal a soft, predictable response for slow manoeuvres and is intended to last well while going easy on the rear disc.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes this compound as durable and protective of the disc. On the rear of a Versys 1000, which is used constantly for low-speed control and on long trips, that combination keeps maintenance intervals long and the rear rotor healthy. The company also claims that its pads resist fade because they keep heat under control. The organic material is carried on the regular AGPP88 plate.
Manoeuvring a Tall Tourer
A Versys 1000 with full luggage is a big machine to handle at walking pace. Riders use the rear brake to steady the bike during tight turns and to hold it on slopes while they find neutral. A soft, progressive pad makes those moments easier, because the pedal does not snatch and the rear wheel does not lock unexpectedly.
Keep the rear disc free of chain lube and check the pad thickness at every tyre change. On older bikes from the first model years, look at the caliper pistons for corrosion and replace the fluid if it looks dark.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP88 is Accossato's rear pad for the Versys 1000 across 2012 to 2024, including ABS versions and the Versys 1000 LT of 2015 to 2016. For the front, Accossato lists AGPA75 for 2012 to 2021 and AGPA109 for 2019 to 2024. No Accossato disc is listed for the bike in our data. A box contains the set for the single rear caliper; compare the shape with your old pads.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German approval document for AGPP88OR. It is intended for competition.
