DescriptionThe whole story▼

Kawasaki built the Ninja H2 SX to carry the supercharged H2 engine into a sport-touring shape, sold as SX, SX SE and SX SE+ across 2018 and 2019. Its filler takes the larger M30x1.5 thread, and Accossato's FP005 fits it, CNC-machined aluminium anodised across eight colours.

Key Features

  • Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX, SX SE and SX SE+, 2018 and 2019
  • Thread M30x1.5, a larger size than most Accossato fillers
  • Aluminium, CNC-machined and anodised
  • Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • TS005 front brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
  • Shared thread with several other large Kawasaki models
  • No German ABE on file; for competition use
  • Built for a supercharged engine designed around distance as well as speed

Construction and Material Quality

Supercharging the H2 SX's engine changed a great deal about what happens inside it, but the filler cap above it is unaffected: aluminium, machined on CNC equipment, then put through anodising for one of eight colours, the restrained titanium and silver sitting alongside the louder orange, red and gold. The M30x1.5 thread this cap uses is larger than the M20x2.5 found elsewhere in Accossato's range, a detail that has nothing to do with the supercharger and everything to do with the physical size of the filler opening Kawasaki originally engineered.

Checking Oil on an Engine Under Boost

A supercharger adds complexity above the cylinders but changes nothing about how oil should be checked beneath them: cold engine, level bike, the reading taken before the filler is touched at all. Clean the area around the cap first, and fit the FP005 by hand once done, never forcing a thread that only needs to be snug to do its job. A glance underneath after the next ride confirms the seal has settled properly rather than leaving it to chance.

Fitment and Compatibility

All three variants built in the H2 SX's first two seasons, the SX, SX SE and SX SE+, take the identical FP005 filler across 2018 and 2019. Fitting the matching TS005 front reservoir cap at the same time is a straightforward way to colour-match the two. Thread size alone decides compatibility here, which is why the GTR 1400 and the Ninja 300, bikes with little else in common with a supercharged sport-tourer, share the exact same application.

Road Approval

No ABE or test document for the FP005 exists in our records, so it is catalogued for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
