DescriptionThe whole story▼

Some SWM RS 300 R owners use their light enduro mainly on tarmac, enjoying tight mountain roads and winding back lanes where a nimble bike is great fun. A few also take it to a karting track for a supermoto-style training day. For these riders, Accossato offers front pad AGPA29 in EV1 street/track, listed for the RS 300 R from 2015 to 2020. The compound is designed for keen road riding and amateur track use, providing a firmer bite than a comfort pad.

Key Features

  • Front pad AGPA29 for the SWM RS 300 R (2015 to 2020)
  • EV1 street/track compound, article number AGPA29EV1
  • Accossato: excellent grip for road and amateur track use
  • Firmer bite on tight tarmac bends
  • Suits karting-track training days
  • This plate is also available as OR, ST and STMX

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes the EV1 street/track compound as offering excellent grip for street riding and amateur circuit use. For an RS 300 R that is mainly ridden on tarmac and at pace, it offers a more immediate response at the lever than a comfort pad. The pads also share Accossato's aims of long wear, reduced fading and strong stopping power.

A Light Enduro on Twisty Tarmac

On a tight mountain road, a light bike can be braked late and flicked into the next bend. A firmer front pad helps the rider to judge the braking point precisely, while the long-travel fork absorbs bumps in the road surface.

Karting circuits make a good playground for this: short straights, hairpins, and plenty of chances to rehearse a firm stop followed by a quick change of direction. Put fresh fluid in the system the week before, and treat the opening laps as a chance to let the new pad surface settle against the disc.

Tyres Matter Too

Knobbly tyres limit the grip available on tarmac. If you mainly ride on roads, choose tyres that suit this use, because a firmer pad can only be used fully when the tyre can handle it.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA29 is how Accossato's list describes the front pad for SWM RS 300 R machines built in 2015 up to 2020. You only need a single box, since that bike runs one front caliper. For its back wheel, the pad to look for is AGPP80. Fit the two front pads as a pair, and keep chain lube well away from the disc when servicing the drive.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or German approval mark on file for AGPA29EV1. It is available for track use.

Scope of Delivery

Two EV1 street/track pads for the front caliper.
