Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 02228-15

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number. An original Öhlins service part, listed under its own number in the Öhlins spare parts catalogue. Availability of individual parts is one reason Öhlins units stay in service for decades.

Original Öhlins Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 02228-15 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece. Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02228-15

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02228-15_c0391e91-07e0-4cec-b819-b19e7e4324fd.png?v=1788871576
