DescriptionThe whole story▼

On wet, slippery trails the rear brake of a Yamaha WR250F is often the rider's main tool for controlling speed on steep descents over roots and rocks. For the WR250F from 2003 to 2013 and 2015 to 2024, Accossato lists its AGPP106 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) compound. This version is for riders who ride in all conditions, including rain and cold, and want the rear brake to respond consistently on wet discs.

Key Features

  • AGPP106 rear pad, Sintered (ST) compound
  • For the Yamaha WR250F, 2003 to 2013 and 2015 to 2024
  • Constant grip at high and low temperatures
  • Strong wet grip, per Accossato
  • Suited to rain and cold riding
  • One set per box for the rear caliper
  • OR and STMX also listed

Construction and Material Quality

The manufacturer frames ST around stability. Whether the rear disc is chilled by a puddle or hot from a long downhill, Accossato says the grip stays high and does not wander, and it adds that the mix copes well with wet conditions. Those two qualities are what a trail rider leans on when the front wheel has little traction and the rear pedal is doing the steering.

Wet Roots and Rocks

Descending a wet, rooty trail on a WR250F is demanding. The front brake has limited grip on slippery roots, so the rear brake does much of the work. A sintered rear pad responds quickly on a wet disc, allowing the rider to control speed precisely. On cold days, it does not need to warm up. As the brake heats on long descents, the pedal feel remains consistent. That predictability helps riders stay relaxed on difficult ground.

Care After Wet Rides

Rinse the caliper after wet rides, check pad movement and inspect the disc. Keep the rear brake fluid fresh, as water contamination affects pedal feel.

Fitment and Compatibility

Two blocks of years carry AGPP106 in Accossato's data for the WR250F: 2003 to 2013, then 2015 to 2024, so a 2014 bike is not covered by this listing. Carburettor and EFI versions are both included, as is the ENDURO GP of 2018. Up front the pad changes with the generation, from AGPA51 through AGPA110 to AGPA288. The rear caliper is a single unit, which makes one box a complete change. If the rear disc is also worn, Accossato has DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 listed for the bike. Push the pistons back only once they are clean, and press the pedal repeatedly until it is solid.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test mark for this pad. It is sold for off-road competition use.

Scope of Delivery
