DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Triumph Street Twin is a comfortable bike for two, and many owners regularly carry a passenger on weekend rides. With a pillion aboard, the rear brake does more of the work, particularly on wet roads and downhill. For that use Accossato lists the AGPA76 rear pad in Sintered (ST) compound, covering the Street Twin from 2016 to 2025. It is designed to keep a consistent feel across temperatures and in the wet.

Key Features

  • Rear brake pads for the Triumph Street Twin, 2016 to 2025
  • AGPA76 plate with Sintered (ST) compound (AGPA76ST)
  • For two-up riding, wet roads and descents
  • Accossato cites constant grip hot or cold
  • Good wet grip according to the maker
  • One box for the single rear caliper
  • No German ABE; supplied for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato states that ST keeps a high and constant grip level at both high and low temperatures and grips well in the wet. On the AGPA76 plate for the Street Twin rear caliper, that provides a steady pedal feel even when a passenger adds weight. Accossato names long life and limited heat build-up as general aims.

Two on a Twin

With a passenger aboard, weight shifts rearward, so the rear tyre can handle more braking force. Applying the rear brake slightly earlier, then adding the front, keeps the bike level and makes stops smoother for the passenger. A sintered pad with consistent feel supports that technique. Brief your passenger to lean with the bike and hold on firmly when slowing.

Before a Two-Up Ride

Check rear pad thickness and fluid level, and adjust preload if the bike allows it. After wet rides, rinse the rear caliper and let it dry. Replace pads in pairs, clean the piston at each change and pump the pedal firm before carrying a passenger.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA76 at the rear of the Street 900 Twin from 2016 to 2025, so one pad type covers every model year here. One box fits the single rear caliper. At the front the AGPA72 is listed for 2016 to 2021 and the AGPA112 for 2019 to 2024. OR is the alternative compound on this rear plate.

Road Approval

We have no test documentation or German ABE for this pad; it is sold for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
