DescriptionThe whole story▼

In a muddy moto, the rear brake of a Yamaha YZ125 is showered with dirt on every lap and used hard on every downhill and corner entry. For the YZ125 from 2003 to 2026, Accossato offers the rear pad AGPP106 in its Off-road sintered compound, SKU AGPP106STMX. This is the version for racing and hard training on real motocross tracks, where mud, sand and water are part of every session.

Key Features

  • STMX rear pad for motocross, SKU AGPP106STMX
  • Yamaha YZ125, 2003 to 2026
  • Made for mud, sand and water
  • For racing and hard training
  • Rear pad for dirt use
  • One set for the rear caliper
  • Front pads AGPA110 and AGPA288, discs DK111, DK268, DK269 listed

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato makes the STMX compound for off-road use, and AGPP106STMX is the motocross version of this rear pad. Accossato's general statements for its pads cover slow wear, fade resistance and strong stopping. We add no material details.

Muddy Motos and the Wash Bay

After a muddy moto, the YZ125 goes straight to the wash bay. The rear caliper, low down and close to the wheel, collects more dirt than almost any other part. The STMX rear pad is made for those conditions. When washing, use low pressure around the caliper, let it dry and check the pad thickness before the next race. The rear pad on a YZ125 is also used to scrub speed into the crowded first turn, so a worn set is worth replacing early rather than risking it in the middle of a race. For dry practice, OR is gentler; for mixed conditions, ST.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP106 fits the rear brake of the Yamaha YZ125 across a very long run, 2003 to 2026 in Accossato's list, and this STMX edition is the one for dirt racing. The rear has a single caliper, so a single box is enough. At the front, a YZ125 takes either AGPA110 (2008 to 2021) or AGPA288 (2021 to 2026), both also sold in STMX, and the discs DK111, DK268 and DK269 are listed as well. Before retracting the piston, pick caked mud from the edges of the caliper with a plastic tool; forcing it back through grit can damage the seal. Then pump the pedal until the brake is firm and check the rear reservoir.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or test certificate for this pad. It is offered for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two rear pads in one box, one set for the rear caliper.
