The V100 Mandello marked Moto Guzzi's centenary with a new liquid-cooled transverse V-twin, shaft drive and a modern electronic package, including aerodynamic deflectors that deploy automatically on the move. It takes its name from Mandello del Lario, the town on Lake Como where the company has been based since 1921. The Accossato EDF099 is a brake lever for the V100 Mandello of 2022 to 2024, milled from aluminium, matched to the bike's original master cylinder and adjustable for reach.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the EDF099 from a solid aluminium blank and finishes it by anodising. Hub and blade are one piece: the hub, containing the pivot and the reach adjuster, is black on every version, and the blade carries the colour you order. With no hinge in its length, the lever is stiff, and a stiff lever passes what happens in the brake system to your fingers without softening it along the way.
What the ABS Tells Your Fingers
ABS works by releasing and re-applying brake pressure many times a second when a wheel is close to locking. On many systems the rider feels this as a rapid pulsing or a slight push back at the lever. It is a message worth understanding: the front tyre has reached the limit of grip on that surface. The right response is to keep squeezing firmly and steer where you want to go, not to let go of the lever in surprise. Riders who have rarely felt ABS at work sometimes release the brake the first time it happens, which lengthens the stop. Experiencing it once in a controlled setting, such as a rider training course, removes that surprise. Lever position plays its part as well: on the V100 Mandello, set the EDF099 so the fingers can apply full pressure without the wrist bending, and they will hold that pressure more steadily while the system works.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue gives the V100 Mandello the years 2022 to 2024 for the EDF099. It replaces the stock lever on the bike's own master cylinder. Accossato's list for this motorcycle contains no clutch lever, so this is a single lever rather than half of a pair. Colours: all seven in standard length, short blades in blue, gold, green, orange and silver, long ones in blue, gold, green and orange.
Road Approval
Because no German ABE has been documented for it, the EDF099 is sold for track riding.
