DescriptionThe whole story▼
When every millisecond of braking confidence matters, the Talos S78 Monoblock P4 front right brake caliper delivers the kind of all-day grip and control that separates disciplined, comfortable track sessions from fatiguing ones. Engineered exclusively for racing use, this 108 mm mount caliper pairs a one-piece monoblock body with titanium TIN-coated pistons to give you precise, fade-free modulation lap after lap — so your hands and focus stay fresh even as the session wears on.
Key Features
- One-piece monoblock aluminium body machined for exceptional rigidity and minimal flex under extreme braking loads
- Four 34 mm titanium pistons with TIN coating reduce friction, resist heat transfer to the fluid and maintain consistent bite throughout long stints
- Hard-anodised surface treatment provides corrosion resistance and durability in the harshest race-day conditions
- Lightweight construction at just 589 g keeps unsprung mass low without sacrificing structural integrity
- 30 mm offset and 108 mm mounting pitch cover an exceptionally wide range of performance motorcycles
- Front right fitment — part number X78.108.HD.R for precise ordering
Monoblock Construction
The S78's single-piece body eliminates the flex points inherent in two-piece caliper designs. Under hard, repeated braking the caliper retains its geometry, translating directly into a lever feel that stays consistent from the first corner to the last. At 589 g the caliper is light enough to contribute to a meaningful reduction in unsprung weight, yet the monoblock construction means there is no compromise on stiffness — a combination that makes a real, tangible difference to rider confidence over the course of a full race or track day.
Titanium TIN-Coated Pistons
Each of the four 34 mm pistons is machined from titanium and coated with TIN (titanium nitride). Titanium conducts heat far less readily than steel, keeping brake fluid temperatures lower during sustained hard use and reducing the risk of vapour lock. The TIN surface layer adds hardness and a low-friction interface with the pads, extending both piston and pad service life so you spend less time in the garage and more time on track.
Hard-Anodised Finish
The hard-anodised body treatment is not merely cosmetic — it forms an extremely hard oxide layer that resists stone chips, brake dust abrasion and the chemical aggression of brake fluid spills. The finish remains intact and consistent even after multiple track days, maintaining both the caliper's performance characteristics and its appearance over years of serious use.
Fitment & Compatibility
The Talos S78 X78.108.HD.R is designed for race and performance track use across a broad range of motorcycles. Its 108 mm mounting pitch and 30 mm offset make it compatible with front brake setups on many current and recent models from Aprilia (RSV4, RSV4 R, RSV4 RR, RSV4 RF, RSV4 1100, RSV4 1100 Factory, RS 660, RS 457, Tuono V4 R), Bimota (KB998 Rimini), BMW (S1000RR, M1000RR, HP4, HP4R), CFMOTO, Ducati (848, 899, 959, 1199, 1199 S, 1199 R, 1299, 1299 S, V4, V4 S, V4 R), Honda (CBR 600 RR, CBR 1000 RR, CBR 1000 RR-R), Kawasaki (ZX-6R, ZX-10 R, ZX-10 RR, ZX-4 RR, Ninja 400), KTM (RC 390, RC8 1190, 990 RC R), MV Agusta (F3, F4, 675 SR-R, 450 SR), QJMotor (SKR 800 RR), Triumph (Daytona 675, Daytona 675 R, Daytona 765, Daytona 765 Moto2, Street Triple 765 R, Street Triple 765 RS), Yamaha (R1, R1M, R3, R6, R7, R9) and Suzuki (GSX-R 600, GSX-R 750, GSX-R 1000).
