DescriptionThe whole story▼
Support ring 12.1/50/24, Öhlins part number 05915-01. Bushings take the side load so the seal only has to seal.
Key Features
- Length 24 mm
- Outer Diameter 50 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Inner Diameter 12.1 mm
- Öhlins part number 05915-01
Function
Öhlins publishes 12.1 mm, 50 mm, 24 mm for 05915-01 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. Guide bushings set the internal alignment of a cartridge. Play at a bushing lets the shaft run off centre and the seal wears unevenly. Both diameters and the length are specification, not approximation.
Original Öhlins Part
Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.
How to Be Sure It Fits
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 05915-01 in this case. Öhlins states inner diameter 12.1 mm, outer diameter 50 mm, length 24 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Bushings take the side load so the seal only has to seal. Öhlins uses PTFE-coated bushings for a low breakaway force.
