Measure the old part against them before ordering. The preload tube transfers the spring load to the adjuster and sets the installed length. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable. Öhlins offers several lengths so the same body can serve different springs.

Why the Original

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 60060-14 in this case. dimension a 19.8 mm, dimension b 22.2 mm, dimension c 60 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. An adjuster that turns without resistance has lost its detent; the setting is then guesswork.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 60060-14

Category: Preload Tubes

Dimension A: 19.8 mm

Dimension B: 22.2 mm

Dimension C: 60 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/60060-14_5d0c5ea3-cfc3-456e-b17a-2d87fa24704d.png?v=1788881057
