DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound is the most specialised material offered for the AGPA92 front pad on the Zero DS from 2015 to 2017. The company calls it a ceramic compound ideal for racing. It is intended for owners who have prepared their electric DS for competition on closed courses and who fine-tune their machine over a weekend of practice and timed sessions, with the pit box as their workshop.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Zero DS, 2015 to 2017
- Covers the ZF9.4, ZF9.8, ZF12.5 and ZF13.0 versions listed by Accossato
- AGPA92 shape with the ZXC ceramic racing compound, code AGPA92ZXC
- Ceramic material for racing, according to Accossato
- Suited to a weekend of sessions and adjustments
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- No German ABE on file; for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The ZXC is a ceramic material that Accossato presents as ideal for racing. For the AGPA92 on the older DS it provides a front pad designed for the sustained load of competition, with low fade and durable friction. Accossato, founded in 1969 near Turin, offers the same shape in OR, ST, EV1 and EV2. Each box holds two pads, the set for one caliper.
Work in the Pit Box
A competition weekend is a series of small decisions: tyre pressures, suspension clicks, gearing where possible, and the brakes. With an electric bike there is also the battery to manage between sessions. Riders learn how the front pads behave as they heat through a session and adjust braking markers accordingly. A dedicated racing compound gives a consistent reference for that work.
Keeping the Brake Sharp
Check pad wear after every session, inspect the disc for heat marks and keep the fluid fresh. After a pad change, pump the lever until it is firm and bed the pads in during the first laps.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA92 for the front of the Zero DS from 2015 to 2017, covering the ZF9.4, ZF9.8, ZF12.5 and ZF13.0 variants. The 2024 DS takes the AGPA96 at the front. The rear uses the AGPP91 on 2014 to 2017 bikes and the AGPA29 on the 2024 model. Check how many front calipers your bike has; one box serves one.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval paperwork for this pad. It is sold for racing and track use.
Scope of Delivery
