DescriptionThe whole story▼
The TC003 brings Accossato's CrossThrottle system to four-stroke engines with a two-cable mechanism rather than the single-cable system used on the TC001 and TC002, sold as a bare body without grips or cables. The '4T' in its description marks it out for four-stroke bikes specifically, where a return cable alongside the pull cable is the norm rather than relying on spring tension alone. The body is the same two CNC-machined, anodised aluminium half-rings used across Accossato's range.
Key Features
- CrossThrottle control, two-cable mechanism for four-stroke engines
- Two CNC-machined, anodised aluminium half-rings
- Sold without grips or cables
- Body only, for building a custom throttle control setup
- Made in Italy
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the TC003's body the same way as the rest of its CrossThrottle range, but builds in a two-cable mechanism rather than the single cable used on the TC001 and TC002, matching the way four-stroke engines are commonly set up with both a pull and a return cable. Sold without a grip or cables, it leaves both to be chosen separately, the same approach as the TC001 but for the two-cable, four-stroke application instead. No internal cam system is listed for this body, so throttle feel comes down entirely to the grip and cable set it is eventually paired with.
Built for Four-Stroke Cable Routing
The distinction Accossato draws for the TC003 is specifically between two-stroke and four-stroke cable routing, '4T' marking it for the latter, where a second cable manages the throttle's return rather than leaving that job to a spring alone. Riders moving a CrossThrottle setup from a two-stroke bike to a four-stroke one, or building a four-stroke-specific setup from scratch, are the ones who need this version rather than the single-cable TC001 or TC002.
Fitment and Compatibility
The TC003 is a universal throttle control body rather than one built for a named motorcycle. Fitting it means confirming the handlebar takes a standard clamp, that the bike's cable routing is the two-cable, four-stroke type this version is built for, and sourcing a compatible grip and both cables separately, since none are included with this listing. Two-stroke machines, or four-strokes relying on a single return spring, should use the TC001 instead. In the Inter-Pace garage it is listed for four-stroke competition off-road motorcycles, motocross and enduro; the Fitment tab names the individual models.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the TC003; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. The throttle must return to the idle position on its own as soon as the grip is released; check this after fitting, before riding.
