DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Triumph Tiger Sport 850 from 2021, 2022 or 2023 is often the first big touring bike its owner has had, and the trips grow as confidence does: first a weekend away, then a fortnight abroad with a pillion. For that kind of riding, Accossato lists the rear pad AGPP91 in its Sintered (ST) compound. The mix is built to keep its grip on the same level whether the brake is cold or hot, and to bite reliably when a shower leaves the disc wet.

Key Features

  • Rear pad AGPP91 in Sintered (ST)
  • For the Triumph Tiger Sport 850, 2021-2023
  • Accossato: grip that stays high and constant hot or cold, and holds up in the wet
  • For touring holidays, passenger and luggage
  • Reliable pedal under changing skies
  • Two pads per box, one rear caliper
  • OR and STMX alternatives on this plate

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato frames its ST compound around two assurances. The first is a grip level that is high and does not drift as temperatures climb or fall; the second is solid performance on a wet rotor. For a rear pad on a laden touring bike, those are the two things riders notice. As with all its pads, the firm adds that wear is slow, fade is held back by moderate heat and the stop is strong.

Growing Into Longer Trips

Moving from day rides to real touring changes the job of the rear brake. With a passenger's weight and a set of panniers behind you, the back wheel carries much more of the load, and a well-judged press of the pedal becomes a useful way to keep the 850 level on a long descent or to settle it before a tight bend. On a wet ferry ramp, a cobbled harbour street or a rain-soaked hairpin, the rear still has to grip the same way. That is where a compound designed for constant, wet-capable grip justifies itself. For light solo commuting, OR is gentler on the rotor.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's listing for AGPP91 covers the rear of the Tiger Sport 850 across 2021, 2022 and 2023; it names no front pad or disc for this bike. Ahead of a big trip, fit the pads early so they are bedded in, check the rear rotor for wear, make sure the fluid is fresh, and pack the tools for a roadside change.

Road Approval

No German ABE and no test documents for this pad are in our records; it is offered for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
