DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Triumph Scrambler 1200 X spends a lot of its life at modest speeds: filtering through town, crawling along a gravel car park, easing down a steep village street. In those moments the rear brake is the rider's quiet helper. Accossato's AGPA92 rear pad in the Organic compound is listed for the 1200 X in the 2024 model year and is aimed at owners who want that helper to be smooth, silent and kind to the disc.

Key Features

  • AGPA92 rear pads for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 X
  • Listed for the 2024 model year
  • Organic compound, SKU AGPA92OR
  • Accossato: long life and limited disc wear
  • Gentle engagement at walking pace
  • Low noise in slow traffic
  • The plate also comes as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No German approval documents, sold for competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's Organic mixture is described by the company as keeping its performance for a long time while wearing the disc only lightly. At the rear of a 1200 X, where the pedal is pressed often but seldom hard, that is the most useful combination. The pad takes up softly, so a little extra pressure never turns into a sudden lock-up on a loose surface.

Slow-Speed Finesse on a Tall Bike

A big scrambler sits high, and turning it around on a narrow lane or in a gravel lay-by calls for patience. Many riders keep a toe on the rear brake to hold the bike steady while the clutch does the work. With an organic pad that touch is easy to judge, and the rear wheel keeps turning instead of skidding on loose stones. The compound is also quiet, so you will not announce every stop with a squeal. For a bike used mainly on tarmac and the occasional gravel road, it is the relaxed option.

Pad Swap Pointers

Grit thrown up from the back tyre ends up in the caliper, so wash it before pressing the pistons home. Check the disc and the fluid in the small rear reservoir. Press the pedal several times after fitting and use a few easy stops to bed the pads in.

Fitment and Compatibility

This plate carries a narrow listing: Accossato gives AGPA92 for the rear of the Scrambler 1200 X in 2024 only. The front plate AGPA72 is listed for both 2024 and 2025. Owners of a 2025 bike should therefore confirm the rear pad before ordering. A single box fits the one rear caliper.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or German test document for AGPA92OR. It is supplied for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
