DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of older Yamaha WR250F enduro bikes change hands second-hand and become a rider's first off-road machine or a budget bike for green lanes. For the WR250F from 2003 to 2018, Accossato lists its AGPA51 front pad, and this listing is the Organic (OR) compound. It is meant for owners who ride gently, often on mixed terrain with some tarmac, and want a front brake that is easy to control and gentle on a disc that may already have seen a few seasons.
Key Features
- AGPA51 front pad, Organic (OR) compound
- For the Yamaha WR250F, 2003 to 2018
- Progressive, forgiving response
- Kind to the disc, according to Accossato
- Quiet during road sections
- One box covers the single front caliper
- ST, STMX and EV1 also offered
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's claim for the Organic compound is longer-lasting performance and limited disc wear. On an older WR250F with a used disc, a pad that looks after the remaining disc material is a sensible choice. Accossato, founded in 1969 in Moncalieri near Turin, builds its pads around low wear, restrained heat build-up and good stopping power in general.
Reviving a Second-Hand Enduro
When someone buys a used WR250F, the brakes are usually among the first things to check. Old pads may be glazed or worn unevenly, and the disc may be close to its limit. Fitting fresh organic pads gives a predictable, gentle front brake that suits a rider who is getting used to off-road riding. On green lanes and forest tracks at a steady pace, the soft bite makes it easier to control speed on descents without locking the front wheel. It is also a quiet pad, pleasant on the roads that link trails.
Other Options for the Same Pad
For wet and cold riding, ST is the alternative. STMX suits mud and competitive enduro use, while EV1 is designed for tarmac riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the WR250F from 2003 to 2018, including the EFI version from 2015 to 2017. For later years, AGPA110 covers 2018 to 2021 and AGPA288 covers 2022 to 2026; for 2018 both AGPA51 and AGPA110 appear, so check your existing pads before ordering. The rear pad is AGPP106. The single front caliper needs one box. Accossato also lists the DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 discs for the WR250F.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or test documentation available to us. This pad is supplied for off-road competition use.
