DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two separate crankcase plugs sit on the 350EXC-F's engine rather than one, and Accossato lists each under its own code: the BEP01 here, covering the bike's 2011-to-2017 build, and the SEP01 at a different spot on the same casing. Both close an opening in the engine case and replace whatever stock part was fitted there originally.
Key Features
- Crankcase plug for the KTM 350EXC-F, 2011 to 2017
- Accossato code BEP01, closes an opening in the engine casing
- Available in orange or blue
- Accossato also lists a second crankcase plug, SEP01, for this bike
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna FC 250, FE 501 and KTM 450EXC-F, among others
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Built for its own position on the 350EXC-F's casing, the BEP01 doesn't double as a fit for the SEP01's location, so both are needed if both have been lost or damaged. Colour is a choice between orange and blue with no bearing on the seal either way. A plug that no longer sits flush, or that's clearly been forced at some point in the bike's past, is a reasonable one to replace during any wider service.
Two Plugs on One Casing
Working on an engine with two separate plugs in two separate spots means a thorough check really does mean checking both, not just the more visible of the pair. It's an easy thing to overlook during a quick wipe-down, which is exactly why it's worth adding to the list whenever the bike is already stripped back for a bigger job. A used 350EXC-F with an unclear service history is as good a reason as any to check both plugs properly rather than assume.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's own list for the BEP01 spans the 350EXC-F from 2011 through 2017. The plug reaches further to the Husqvarna FC 250 and FE 501, and to the KTM 450EXC-F, all part of the wider engine family it belongs to, so a garage running more than one of these bikes gets by with a single spare. Confirming the exact build year against that list is still worth the extra minute before ordering.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the BEP01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
