DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear caliper of a Yamaha YZ250F sits low, right in the path of whatever the rear tyre throws up: clay, sand, water and stones. Accossato's AGPP106 rear pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound is designed for that environment. It fits all YZ250F models from 2003 to 2026 and suits riders who spend long days in deep mud, on sandy tracks or on enduro loops through streams. Accossato calls the STMX its compound for off-road riders.

Key Features

  • Rear brake pads for the Yamaha YZ250F, 2003 to 2026
  • AGPP106 shape in Accossato's STMX off-road material, code AGPP106STMX
  • Developed by Accossato for off-road riding
  • Aimed at mud, sand, dust and water
  • Two pads per box, the set for one rear caliper
  • OR and ST fillings of the same pad are also catalogued
  • No German ABE on record; for competition and off-road use

Construction and Material Quality

The STMX material is Accossato's answer for the dirt. There is no long technical statement from the manufacturer, only its clear purpose: it is the compound for off-road riders. At the rear of a motocross bike that means constant exposure to contamination, and the pads are built to keep working through it, with long wear, resistance to fade and strong stopping power. Accossato won an Enduro World Championship title in 1985, so off-road riding has long been part of its story.

The Rear Brake in the Mud

In deep mud the rear brake often packs up with clay, and the rider may only realise it when the pedal feels different. Clearing the caliper between motos with water, and properly after the race, keeps the pads moving freely. A dedicated off-road compound tolerates dirty conditions better, but it still needs that care. After a sandy weekend, check for grooves in the rotor, because sand acts like sandpaper on both pad and disc.

Choosing Between the Versions

The YZ250F rider who rarely leaves hard-pack may find the ST version a good fit, while the OR suits relaxed practice. The STMX is for the dirtiest days: wet races, sand, enduro-style loops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Every Yamaha YZ250F built between 2003 and 2026 shares this rear pad shape in Accossato's application list, which makes ordering simple for owners of older and newer bikes alike. Up front things differ: 2007 to 2020 machines take the AGPA110, while the 2020 to 2026 generation uses the AGPA288. If you want to renew rotors as well, Accossato names the DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 for this motocross model.

Road Approval

No German ABE or approval evidence is on file for this pad, which is sold for off-road competition and closed courses only.

Scope of Delivery

Two STMX rear pads in one box, one set for the YZ250F rear caliper.
