DescriptionThe whole story▼
The BN 302 combines a small parallel twin with a sporty naked chassis and is one of the core models in Benelli's range of the mid-2010s. It is at home on the roads where riders learn the most: country lanes, suburban streets, the daily route to work with its own collection of hazards. The Accossato EDF016 replaces the BN 302's front brake lever with a CNC-machined aluminium lever that fits the original master cylinder and can be adjusted in reach. Accossato lists it for 2015 to 2017.

Construction and Material Quality
A brake lever is handled more than almost any other part of a motorcycle: in gloves, with bare hands at the fuel station, sometimes with the keys still between the fingers. Accossato gives the EDF016 a finish suited to that life. The lever is milled from solid aluminium and then anodised, which hardens and colours the surface of the metal itself. The hub, holding the pivot and the reach adjuster, is black, and the blade is anodised in one of seven colours. It is a fixed lever without a hinge, so the blade is a single solid piece.
Rails, Joints and Painted Lines
Some parts of the road offer almost no grip, and the smooth steel of a level crossing is one of them, especially when it is wet. The same is true of the metal expansion joints on bridges and of painted markings. The rule for all of them is simple: finish your braking before you reach them, cross upright with the brake released, and only brake again when both tyres are back on tarmac. Where the road allows it, cross rails as close to a right angle as possible. Trouble on rails often starts with a front wheel that is still braking when it meets the steel. Keeping to the rule is easier when braking feels predictable, and that begins with where the lever sits. With the reach set so that your fingers find the blade without stretching, a short, measured squeeze before the crossing becomes habit rather than effort. On a BN 302 used every day, these crossings come up more often than any hairpin.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF016 for the BN 302 from 2015 to 2017. It mounts on the original master cylinder and replaces the stock front brake lever. For the left side of the same bikes, Accossato offers the ESD037 clutch lever, also listed for 2015 to 2017.
Road Approval
We know of no German ABE for this brake lever, and it is offered for use on the track.
