DescriptionThe whole story▼

Before the model was fitted with ABS, the early Yamaha MT-09 built between 2013 and 2018 could run this three-hose Accossato kit instead, laid out to the Over-the-mudguard pattern: a single line from the master cylinder reaches the right-hand front caliper, and a second hose then crosses over the mudguard to feed the left caliper. It is a different routing choice from the five-hose Standard kits sold for the ABS-equipped MT-09, trading one line for a simpler run across the front end.

Key Features

  • Three-hose set for the 2013-2018 MT-09, built to the Over-the-mudguard (O) layout
  • Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
  • Stainless steel fittings as standard, or painted stainless in red, green, blue, black or gold
  • One line master-cylinder-to-caliper, a second line caliper-to-caliper across the mudguard
  • Fewer hoses than the Standard-layout kits used on later, ABS-equipped MT-09 models
  • Designed and assembled by Accossato in Italy

Construction and Material Quality

The three hoses are built from a stainless steel braid over the pressure line, the same material used throughout the Accossato range because it resists the ballooning rubber hoses show under hard use. Fittings for this early MT-09 kit are offered either in bare stainless steel or painted in red, green, blue, black or gold stainless, so the hardware can be finished to match the bike, while the braid itself is available in all twenty standard colours independently of the fitting choice.

Over-the-Mudguard Layout Explained

This O-layout kit sends its first hose from the master cylinder to the right-hand front caliper; a second hose then picks up from that right caliper and carries on to the left one, taking a path across the front mudguard. The rear line completes the three-hose total. This arrangement was one of two routing choices Accossato offered for the pre-ABS MT-09, the other being the Full-length layout, where each caliper instead gets its own independent line straight from the master cylinder.

Fitment and Compatibility

This set covers the Yamaha MT-09 built between 2013 and 2018. Accossato's Full-length version of this same-era kit, part AGF9779, uses three hoses as well but routes each one independently rather than running caliper to caliper, so the two should be chosen based on routing preference rather than fitment. Riders with a 2019 or later MT-09, or the ABS-equipped 2014-2018 model, need the Standard-layout five-hose kits listed separately for those years instead.

Road Approval

Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

3 braided hoses for the Over-the-mudguard layout. Hollow bolts and sealing washers should be checked against your motorcycle before fitting, as these are not necessarily included.
