Aluminium tubes are hard-anodised in the bore so the piston band has a hard surface to run against.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 03091-02

Original Öhlins service part

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears. Öhlins matches tube and piston as a pair during assembly, which is why the part numbers are specific. The cylinder head closes the working bore and carries the shaft seal and its bushing.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 03091-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. A head that has been over-tightened distorts and stops sealing. Head and tube are matched by thread and diameter; neither is interchangeable across units.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 03091-02

Category: Cylinder Heads

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/03091-02_91de2b3c-a0aa-42f4-88f2-8b1af4d544f1.png?v=1788874491
