A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one. Reservoir housings hold the gas charge and are pressure-rated accordingly. Adaptor pieces let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

Why the Original

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 01283-57 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check dimension a 16 mm, dimension b 70 mm, dimension c 22 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01283-57

Category: Brackets

Dimension A: 16 mm

Dimension B: 70 mm

Dimension C: 22 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01283-57_cb073698-a0e8-478d-85fc-ca8dbf5d22ea.png?v=1788873557
