The MT-07 Tracer of 2016 to 2020 is often ridden loaded with luggage over long distances, and the gearbox is used thousands of times on a single trip. The Gilles Shiftholder for the Yamaha MT-07 Tracer supports the shift shaft for a consistently precise gear change.

A precise shift after hours on the road
On a long tour, a vague gear change becomes tiring, particularly in touring boots. With the shaft supported outside the engine, each shift has the same clear feel from morning to evening.
Touring boots and force
Touring boots have thick soles, and riders tend to shift with more force to be sure a gear has engaged. That extra force loads the shaft. With the shaft supported, a lighter, more deliberate press is enough, which is kinder to the ankle on a long day in the saddle.
Road Approval
This part needs no approval and no entry in the papers. It supports the gearbox shift shaft of the Yamaha MT-07 TRACER and leaves the rider controls and every approved characteristic of the motorcycle unchanged, so there is nothing for a testing organisation to assess.

The kit contains the Shiftholder and the parts needed to mount it, plus the fitting instructions. Pinion cover included; the original bolts are reused.
