DescriptionThe whole story▼
For some owners, the Monster 821 Stripe is a daily tool as much as a weekend toy, ridden to the railway station every morning and left there until the evening train. Station parking is busy, shared with bicycles and scooters that are pushed in and out in a hurry, and a parked motorcycle is easily knocked. When that happens on the left, the clutch lever breaks, and the next morning's ride is in doubt. For the Monster 821 Stripe of 2015 to 2017, Accossato lists the AGS310, a black replacement clutch lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
For a commuter, the ideal repair is quick and leaves the bike looking as it did. The AGS310 is an original spare parts type: it follows the form of the lever fitted to the Monster 821 Stripe, so nothing distracts from the livery that gives this version its name. Accossato designed it for value for money and says the way it is made gives it increased resistance after damage or collisions. The lever is black, as listed for this version; no further data are published.
Back on the Road by Morning
A broken clutch lever discovered in the evening does not have to cost a day's commute. With a spare at home, the swap is a short job in the garage: remove the pivot, take out the remains of the old lever, clean the pivot and its bore and put on a thin film of grease. Fit the new lever, check that it moves freely and returns fully, confirm that the clutch switch reacts, and test the clutch at a standstill before the first ride. For anyone who rides in every day, a spare lever on the garage shelf is inexpensive peace of mind. At the station, park at the end of a row or in a marked motorcycle bay where there is one, leave the Monster 821 Stripe in gear with the steering locked, and point the handlebar away from the path along which bicycles are wheeled. A disc lock with a reminder cable keeps the bike where you left it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the AGS310 for the Monster 821 Stripe from 2015 to 2017. It is the only replacement lever on the list for this version, so there is no choice to make on the clutch side. We also list the AGS310 for the Monster 821, the Monster 797 and the Hyperstrada 821. Accossato's CNC levers EDB012 and ESD082 are available for the Monster 821 Stripe if you would rather fit a tuning part than an original-type spare.
Road Approval
We have received no approval documentation for the AGS310, so we cannot show a German ABE or a test mark. It is sold for racing and competition use.
