Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 / Factory (2016–2020) PM01S

In 2016 Aprilia took the Tuono out to 1077 cc, and it did so without enlarging the airbox. That is a perfectly ordinary engineering decision — the intake had headroom — but it does mean the filter is now working for a bigger engine than the one it was originally specified around. The Sprint Filter P08 PM01S answers that with a dry polyester medium of roughly double the filtering surface, in the standard housing, with nothing modified and nothing to remap.

More displacement, same housing

The pressure drop across a filter is not a fixed number; it rises with the volume of air being drawn through it. Going from 999.6 to 1077 cc raises that volume at every throttle position, and the element that was comfortable on the smaller engine is doing more work on the larger one. Extra filtering surface is the direct answer: the same demand passes through more medium, so the restriction stays lower for longer as the element loads.

One part for both versions

The standard 1100 and the Factory with its Öhlins suspension share an airbox and this element. So do the earlier Tuono V4 R, the RSV4 family and, on the other side of the group, the Moto Guzzi V85, Griso, Stelvio and California ranges — twenty-seven machines share PM01S. That breadth is why the part remains easy to find long after a particular model year leaves the price list.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; there is no oiling step.
