DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard clip-ons of an R1 were chosen for the average rider, who does not exist. The LighTech MOZ5010 is the handlebar holder: 50 mm fork diameter, 40 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 10° inclination, 350 g. The 50 mm figure is the fork diameter — that is what has to match, not the handlebar. This listing covers an R1 across 23 model years (2004 to 2026).
Key Features
- Inclination 10°
- Machined aluminium holder
- Tubes are listed separately
- Covers an R1 across 23 model years (2004 to 2026)
- Made in Italy
- A stock LighTech item
Offset, Height, Inclination
Everything you feel through the bars arrives there from somewhere else. The MOZ5010 is the part that decides where your hands are: 50 mm fork diameter, 40 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 10° inclination, machined from aluminium and fixed once it is torqued. At this price the decision is not a financial one.
Fitting
The MOZ5010 goes on with the front of an R1 supported and the fork unloaded. Check the clearance over the full steering lock once it is fitted. We can do the fitting and the check ride in one appointment.
Fitment
LighTech lists the MOZ5010 for an Yamaha R1, model years 2004 to 2026. The fork diameter is the figure to verify: 50 mm. If your R1 runs a different fork, this is the wrong part number. If your R1 is not on the list, ask us — LighTech covers more vehicles than are listed here.
Before You Order
The scope of the MOZ5010, stated plainly. Nothing beyond the described scope is in the box. LighTech lists the handlebar tubes as separate items, so check whether you already have a usable pair before ordering. Italian manufacture, like everything else LighTech makes.
What Is in the Box
The scope of the MOZ5010: the holder itself. The finish is Black. Where LighTech prints an instruction sheet, it travels with the part.
Approval and Road Use
Changing the handlebars of a road-registered motorcycle is not a cosmetic matter in Germany. We make no approval claim for the MOZ5010: it arrives without German documentation. If the R1 carries a plate, ask your inspection body first — this is not a question to answer after the fact.
