DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Hypermotard 950 SP sharpens the standard bike with Öhlins suspension and lighter wheels, and the same quick-action throttle conversion removes its factory switch housing. The JP PDRQ DU006 E bronze switch block, CNC-machined from Ergal, replaces it on the new throttle assembly, wired for the SP's stock connector.

What the SP changes, and what stays the same
Öhlins suspension and lighter wheels set the SP apart from the standard Hypermotard 950, aimed at riders who push the bike harder off-road and on. The throttle body and switch housing, though, are shared across the range. Owners who choose the SP tend to expect the same care applied to every detail.
The conversion removes the same part either way
Fitting a quick-action throttle to the SP takes the factory switch housing with it, exactly as it does on the standard bike, since both share the same assembly. This bronze block replaces it regardless of specification. That gap appears identically regardless of how the rest of the bike has been upgraded.
A companion part, not an SP-specific upgrade
This switch has no handlebar mount and locates on the quick-action throttle body only. An SP still running its stock throttle body has nothing for it to attach to, whatever else has been upgraded on the bike. An essential-functions Racing version of this switch suits SP owners who already push the bike harder than the standard model.
Ergal machined to suit a bike built for harder use
Owners who choose the SP tend to ride it harder, on rougher ground, than the standard Hypermotard sees. CNC-milling the switch housing from solid Ergal 7075 keeps it as resilient as the rest of the SP's upgraded hardware. That stiffness matters most when the SP is actually pushed hard off-road.
Wired into the SP's own connector
The loom plugs into the same connector fitted to every Hypermotard 950 SP from the factory, so no splicing is needed. That keeps the quick-action setup reversible if the bike is sold on later. That reliability matters over a full season of harder riding, not just one outing.
