DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fullsix builds both a complete carbon fuel tank for this platform and a cover that goes over the original one. This is the cover, and for most owners it is the sensible half of that pair: the same visual result on the surfaces anybody sees, at roughly a tenth of the price and with none of the approval questions.
Key Features
- Cover over the original fuel tank, direct replacement for the standard panel
- Four configurations in 200 Plain weave: clear coat, matt, satin and raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate, same process as the complete tank
- Original fixing points and fasteners, tank and fuel system untouched
- Shared between the 2023-2024 Streetfighter V4 and the 2022-2024 Panigale V4
Cover or Complete Tank
The complete tank saves weight and is a genuine engineering component. The cover changes what the motorcycle looks like and nothing else. Both are made by the same manufacturer from the same material, and the difference between them is measured in kilograms and in thousands of euros.
For a road motorcycle, the cover is almost always the right choice, because it leaves the original tank in place and therefore leaves the vehicle's approval situation exactly as the factory left it. The complete tank belongs on a machine where weight is being counted and the regulatory position has been settled separately.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4 2023-2024 and Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R 2022-2024. It does not fit the 2020-2022 Streetfighter V4 or the 2025 machines.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It is a cover over the original tank rather than a fuel-carrying component, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Fitting Takes an Afternoon, Not a Workshop
Unlike the complete tank, this part involves no fuel, no wiring and no pump. It is a panel on the original fixings, and it is within reach of anybody who has removed a seat and a few fasteners before.
The only care needed is at the filler surround, where the cover meets the original cap. Take the time to get that edge seated properly before the final tightening, because it is the one place where a hurried fit is visible every time the motorcycle is refuelled.
