DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Pikes Peak version of the Multistrada V4 takes its name from a hillclimb and wears the evidence: a lower, more purposeful riding position and a chassis arranged for surfaced roads rather than for gravel. Owners tend to ride it early in the year, before the good weather has properly arrived, on mountain roads where half the corners are still in shadow. Accossato's Sintered material suits that, since the company says its grip stays constant on cold discs and hot ones and that it holds in the wet. AGPA106ST is the front pad, listed 2022 to 2026.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, 2022 to 2026
- AGPA106ST: the AGPA106 front carrier pressed in the Sintered material
- Accossato quotes an even grip from cold discs through to hot ones
- A damp or streaming surface counts as ordinary working conditions
- Two calipers at the front of this machine, so a change takes two boxes
- Each box is a single caliper's pair of pads
- EV1, EV2 and ZXC are the other materials on this carrier
- No German ABE in our files; supplied for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Constancy is the claim, and the maker makes it in two directions at once: across the temperature range and across the weather. In plain terms, the lever should not want a different squeeze at the top of a climb than it did at the bottom, and a corner in shadow should not be a special case. The AGPA106 carrier beneath the friction layer is common to all four materials in this listing, so a Pikes Peak owner moving between them alters what touches the disc and nothing else.
Cold Tarmac in the Shaded Corners
Early season riding in the hills follows a pattern. The straights are sunlit and dry, the rider warms to the road, and then a left-hander tucked under a rock face turns out to be cold, damp and gritty from the winter. A Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak carries enough pace into a corner like that to make the front brake the decisive part of the story, and it is a poor moment to discover that a material behaves differently before it has warmed through.
The season leaves its mark on the hardware as well. Salt and grit work their way into every caliper over the winter months, so it is worth washing the front end properly before the first good ride and looking at the pads while everything is apart. Bed a new set in on a quiet valley road rather than on the climb itself, and let the discs of the Pikes Peak come up to temperature over a few corners before the pace does.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA106 at the front of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak from 2022 to 2026. There is a caliper on either side of that wheel, so a full change means two boxes. At the back the catalogue offers the AGPA29 across the same seasons. No Accossato disc is catalogued for this version, and the standard V4 and the Rally have front entries of their own with a different article number.
Road Approval
No ABE and no German test certificate exist for the AGPA106ST in our records. The pads are therefore supplied for competition and closed-course riding.
Scope of Delivery
One box of two AGPA106 pads in the Sintered material, which covers a single front caliper. The Pikes Peak has two of them, so plan on a pair of boxes.
