Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Key Features

Dimension A 46 mm

Öhlins part number 05229-01

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 49.8 mm

Dimension C 2 mm

Where It Sits

The published figures are 46 mm, 49.8 mm, 2 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05229-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. The published dimensions are dimension a 46 mm, dimension b 49.8 mm, dimension c 2 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need. Small parts are what hold a rebuild together — the wrong circlip or washer is enough to fail the job.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05229-01

Category: Spacers

Dimension A: 46 mm

Dimension B: 49.8 mm

Dimension C: 2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05229-01_70df4027-0d1f-4b31-b783-6609ddc739d9.png?v=1788873966
