Function
This one measures 12 mm, 24 mm, 0.25 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Suspension technicians keep these in stock by size because a revalve means changing several at once. Shims are reused only if they are undamaged and flat; a coned shim is finished. Two shims of the same thickness but different diameter give completely different damping.
