Availability of individual parts is one reason Öhlins units stay in service for decades. Replacement parts come from the same production as the components they go into. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced.

Original Öhlins Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 06288-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. The number on the part matches the number in the drawing, which makes identification unambiguous. Replacement parts come from the same production as the components they go into.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06288-01

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06288-01_8c926ce0-e892-4f83-93e5-46ad149456c1.png?v=1788875336
