Build Quality & Performance
K-Tech engineered the SBS-022 to address one of the most overlooked causes of vague, stiff or inconsistent fork feel: worn or friction-laden slide bushings. The hardened steel core resists deformation even under the sustained loading of repeated braking and cornering, while the copper coating acts as a sacrificial bearing surface that protects both the bushing and the fork inner tube. The PTFE layer at the contact interface takes friction down to a minimum, translating directly into a fork that tracks the road surface with greater sensitivity and keeps the front end composed when it matters most.
Road & Track Use
Whether the CBR 1000 RR is used for long touring days where small-bump compliance determines fatigue levels, or for focused track work where front-end feedback dictates corner-entry confidence, fresh slide bushings are fundamental. A tired bushing introduces play and stick-slip that no spring or damping adjustment can fully compensate for. Fitting the K-Tech SBS-022 restores the baseline geometry the suspension was designed around, letting every other adjustment work as intended.
Fitment & Compatibility
This kit is designed exclusively for the Honda CBR 1000 RR covering model years 2012 through 2019. It is not suitable for earlier or later CBR 1000 RR variants. Installation should be carried out by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre to ensure correct seating and safe operation.
