Either Clamp
The universal pattern takes the original master cylinder and the radial units alike. One part number where most suppliers would list two and hope for the best.
No Smaller Repair
Ducati's catalogue begins and ends at the complete block. That fact rather than any argument about materials is what makes a machined alternative reasonable.
Grown, Not Sprayed
The finish is part of the aluminium rather than a film on it. Nothing chips and there is no printed legend underneath waiting to disappear.
What a Thumb Reads
Defined travel and a clean break over centre. It is the whole of what a switch communicates once a glove is between the hand and the button.

Nothing spliced anywhere in the loom. The standard block refits in the same time, leaving no evidence that anything was changed.
A Higher State of Tune
The S made 145 horsepower against the base bike's 135, on top of better suspension and brakes. Most manufacturers make a trim level a matter of trim; Ducati made it mechanical.
