The JP ACC MV002 is the short-stroke throttle for the Rivale 800: same opening, same electronics, considerably less distance for the hand to cover on the way there.

A Supermoto From Varese
MV built the Rivale with a tall stance, wide bars and folding mirrors that fold for a reason. It is the most usable version of the 800 triple and the least known.
The Original Refits
Everything comes off the bar the way it went on, and the standard assembly goes back with the same reset procedure. Nothing about the change is permanent.
Learning It Takes One Session
The first few corners feel abrupt because the hand is still travelling the old distance. By the end of an afternoon the new sweep is the one the wrist expects.
Aftermarket Mapping
A flashed controller or a piggyback changes what happens for a given opening. This part changes how far the hand travels to reach that opening. They are different questions.
What the Number Means at the Bar
Sixty degrees is a third of a turn less than many standard assemblies ask for. On the bar that is the difference between reaching full throttle and running out of wrist.
A Third of a Turn Saved
Where a standard assembly asks the hand to travel most of a rotation, this one is done in sixty degrees. The saving is felt at the top of the movement rather than at the bottom.
Buying for a Race Bike
A machine that never leaves a circuit is the clearest case here. There is no traffic to meter, no pillion to consider and no wet commute to survive.
The Cockpit Comes First
Bar height, lever span, grip diameter and peg position decide how a throttle feels before the throttle is considered. A rider who has not set those up is solving the wrong problem. Anybody who has should expect this to be the last adjustment.
Small Screws, Aluminium Threads
The clamp fasteners are short, they thread into a light alloy and they hold a control that matters. The figures are low and looking them up takes a minute. Stripping one turns a straightforward afternoon into a repair nobody planned.
