Wide Bars, Long Wheelbase
Ducati built the Diavel to look like a cruiser and steer like nothing of the sort. The rider sits upright with the arms spread, which is the position where a long throttle sweep asks most of the wrist.
What Is in the Box
The throttle assembly itself. Grips, bar ends and switchgear are the rider's own and carry over from the standard unit.
On the Road
Sixty degrees means small hand movements produce meaningful changes, which is exactly what a rider does not want in slow traffic behind a bus.
The Anodised Finish
Converted into the surface rather than painted onto it, which is why the assembly still looks the same after a season of cleaning products.
Rain
Less rotation for the same opening means less margin for a cold, wet hand. The riding mode helps; the mechanical ratio does not change with weather.
If the Bike Will Not Idle
The commonest symptom of a skipped reset. It is not damage and it is not a faulty part; it is a controller referencing a component that has been removed.
A Second Opinion Before Buying
Sit on the motorcycle and roll the standard throttle to its stop. If the wrist is still comfortable there, the case for this part is weaker than the marketing suggests.
The First Ride
Somewhere open, quiet and dry. Open it deliberately half a dozen times from a settled position and let the hand recalibrate. The adjustment takes an afternoon rather than a season, but the first corners genuinely feel abrupt and traffic is the wrong place to find that out.

The clamp fasteners are short, they thread into a light alloy and they hold a control that matters. The figures are low and looking them up takes a minute. Stripping one turns a straightforward afternoon into a repair nobody planned.
