The JP CJP 012B gives the Stelvio complete management of its fuel map, adjusted on a laptop rather than shipped with a curve somebody else worked out.

A Transverse Vee
Guzzi's ninety degree twin sits across the frame with the cylinders in the airflow, which is why the engine has never needed much cooling help.
Load and Revs
Those two axes define every operating point an engine ever reaches. A map with enough cells describes the whole of it, which is what complete management of the fuel map actually means.
Sharing Maps
Owners of identical motorcycles with identical exhausts trade map files. It is a reasonable starting point and a terrible finishing point, because no two engines are identical.
Class Rules
Some series regulate engine management tightly. Establish what is permitted before ordering, because an ineligible controller is an expensive way to learn a rulebook.

Repeatability. The same load at the same speed for as long as it takes, without traffic and without weather. That is what the hourly rate buys.
Standard Fuel Hardware
Pump, rail, regulator and injectors all remain the factory's. The unit changes how long they open and nothing about what they are.
The Wideband Purchase
Budget for it alongside the unit. Mapping without one is the commonest reason a programmable controller ends up doing nothing at all.
Idle
Usually left alone. The standard controller manages idle with its own strategy and mapping around it creates more problems than it solves.
Riding the Empty Map First
Worth insisting on. A motorcycle you have felt with every cell at zero gives you a reference; one you started changing immediately gives you nothing to compare against.
