The JP ES 028 replaces the GSX-S950's PAIR reed housing with a solid machined blank on the original fasteners.

The Mechanical Half
A reed box on the head, fed by a hose from the airbox. It is what actually admits air into the exhaust ports on a closed throttle.
The Same Chassis
Suzuki built the 950 on the GSX-S1000 frame with conventional forks and fewer electronics. Mechanically the top of the engine is identical, which is why one blank covers both.
A Price Decision
The 950 exists to reach a lower number without cheapening the motorcycle underneath. Suzuki removed features rather than quality, which is the harder way to do it.
Milled From Solid
One piece of aluminium, O-ring sealed in a turned groove. There is nothing inside to crack and nothing to check at a service.
Heat Cycles
Plastic on a cylinder head endures more thermal movement than almost anything else on the motorcycle. Aluminium does not care, which is the practical argument for the exchange.
Five Model Years
The fitment covers 2022 to 2026. Suzuki introduced the 950 alongside the restyled GSX-S1000 and left the head unchanged.
Original Positions
Suzuki's bolt spacing and Suzuki's torque figures. Nothing is drilled and the casting is not modified in any way.
Only Part of It
The solenoid circuit is monitored separately. A blanked head does not prevent the fault appearing at the next start.
Type Approval
Removing emissions equipment ends road legality throughout Europe. The part belongs on a competition motorcycle.
Straight Back
The original housing goes on with its own fasteners. Nothing is consumed and nothing is left behind.
Fewer Electronics
No quickshifter and no cornering ABS, where the 1000 has both. Suzuki decided which features a rider would miss and which they would never notice, and the balance it struck has held up well against the price difference.
