The JP ES 020 is the mechanical half of the secondary air deletion on the Panigale V4 S: the housing comes off the head and aluminium goes on in its place.

Event-Based Damping
The Öhlins system reacts to what the chassis is doing rather than to a fixed map, which is why it works on a bumpy road as well as on a circuit.
Not the Electrical Half
The controller monitors its solenoid regardless of what is bolted to the head, so the circuit still needs its own eliminator to keep the panel clear.
Nothing Consumed
No gasket is destroyed and no fastener stretched. Everything removed goes back exactly as it came off whenever it needs to.
The Complete Mechanical Picture
Airbox, hose, reed assembly and cylinder head port, in that order. The cover closes the last of those and the airbox end needs its own answer.
The Desmodromic Head
Ducati's valve gear is mechanically closed rather than sprung, which has nothing to do with the secondary air system bolted to the outside of the casting.
Popping on the Overrun
Fresh air arriving in a hot exhaust port meets unburnt fuel and lights it, which is where a good part of the crackle on a closed throttle comes from. Owners who delete the system are sometimes surprised that the motorcycle goes quieter rather than louder.
A Repair Wearing Another Name
On any Ducati past its first decade the reed housing has limited working life left. Fitting aluminium removes a job that was coming rather than merely deleting an emissions device, which is why the argument is strongest on older machines and weakest on new ones.
Checking the Old Reeds
Once the housing is off, holding it up to a light shows whether the reeds still sit flat against their seats. It costs nothing and it settles the question of whether this was a repair or a preference, which is worth knowing before the parts go into a box.
