The 1050 Adventure was KTM's attempt at a gentler LC8 — detuned, A2-friendly in some markets, and sold in far smaller numbers than the 1190 alongside it. That scarcity is why owners of one tend to do their own work, and the PAIR system is usually near the top of the list. JP ES 010 handles the electrical half.

Why the ECU Notices
The PAIR solenoid is switched and monitored: the ECU energises the coil and checks it is there. Unplug it and the self-diagnosis flags an open circuit within seconds. This eliminator replicates the coil's electrical signature, so the check passes and the hardware can leave the motorcycle for good.
A Short Production Run
KTM built the 1050 Adventure for two model years before folding it into the 1090. Parts support has thinned accordingly, which is worth bearing in mind: the JetPrime eliminator is generic to the LC8 PAIR circuit rather than specific to the 1050, so it remains available long after model-specific parts stop being made.
What Changes
Not power. What goes is the popping on a closed throttle — unburnt fuel meeting the fresh air the PAIR system injects into a hot exhaust. On an Adventure with an aftermarket slip-on that popping is often the loudest thing the bike does at low speed.

Keep the Original Parts
The 1050's solenoid and hoses are model-specific and increasingly hard to source. Bag them, label the box and put it with whatever else came off the bike. It costs nothing now and saves a search later if the machine is ever sold to someone who wants it standard.
