The JP ES 007 is a passive part for the Monster 821: no power, no software and nothing to configure, just the value the controller reads as a healthy valve.

A Trellis Frame
Tubular steel, exactly as a Monster should have. The 821 was the last middleweight to carry it before the 937 changed the architecture.
The Secondary Air Valve
An electrically opened solenoid feeds filtered air into the exhaust ports on a shut throttle, so mixture that escaped the cylinder finishes burning in the header rather than leaving the pipe.
Not the Same as a Decat
Removing a catalytic converter is a separate change with separate consequences. They are frequently done together and they address different parts of the exhaust.

Putting the standard valve back takes minutes and hands the next owner a machine with nothing to explain at a pre-purchase inspection.
The Second Half Is Optional
Plenty of owners fit only the electrical eliminator and are entirely content. The cylinder head cover addresses a different problem altogether.
Fitted With the Airbox Open
Anybody already inside for a filter change has the connector in front of them, which makes this the cheapest twenty minutes on the whole service list.
What Happens If You Simply Unplug It
The controller pulses the circuit within seconds of the ignition coming on, finds nothing, stores a fault and lights the panel. From then on the warning sits there permanently and any later fault arrives behind it, invisible until somebody plugs in a diagnostic tool and reads the memory properly. That is the practical reason a passive resistance is worth the money over an empty connector.
What the Valve Actually Sounds Like
On a cold start it clicks softly under the tank as the controller opens and closes it, and a valve that has started to stick sometimes buzzes instead. Riders who have heard that noise for years generally notice its absence long before they notice anything else about the deletion.
